Looking for an AI Agent Architect to join Witted Mavericks. Do you want to design and ship production-grade AI agents for clients who actually depend on them? We are looking for an AI Agent Architect to act as the technical authority on agentic systems for our clients. If you have shipped real agents into production and can translate the hype into measurable business outcomes, this is your home.

A working demo is just the baseline. We are looking for architects who understand what breaks at scale: experts who build reliable, observable, cost-aware agent systems and can bridge the gap between rapidly evolving AI capabilities and real business value.

As an AI Agent Architect, you don’t just prototype. You take ownership of the system end-to-end. You will act as the technical backbone for our clients’ AI initiatives, often in a Lead role. Your responsibilities will include:

- Architecting Agent Systems: Designing multi-step, tool-using agents with the right model choices, memory strategy, retrieval, and orchestration for the actual problem.

- Shipping to Production: Taking agents from notebook to production with evaluation, observability, guardrails, and cost controls that hold up under real traffic.

- Technical Leadership: Guiding the client’s team by example—raising the bar on prompt engineering, tool design, eval discipline, and agent reliability.

- Business Alignment: Cutting through AI hype with the client’s stakeholders. Identifying where agents genuinely move the needle—and where a deterministic system is the right answer.

- Modernization: Helping clients integrate agents into existing systems, data, and workflows without breaking what already works.

To succeed and reach the top-tier earning potential, you'll need:

- Production Agent Experience: Shipped agent systems running in production is a significant plus—you know the difference between a demo that impresses and a system that survives Monday morning.

- Modern AI Stack: Deep, hands-on experience with LLM APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, or comparable), agent frameworks (LangGraph, Claude Agent SDK, Pydantic AI, AutoGen, CrewAI or similar), RAG patterns, vector stores, and tool/function calling. Familiarity with MCP and multi-agent orchestration is a plus.

- Full-stack Engineering Foundations: Strong full-stack background with particular depth on the backend—the languages and runtimes where AI tooling lives today (Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js, with Java, Go or .NET as a plus). Solid grasp of APIs, data layers, and Public Cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Agents live inside real systems, and you can build that surrounding system too.

- Evaluation & Reliability: You build evals before you build features. You think about latency, cost, failure modes, prompt injection, and guardrails as first-class concerns—not afterthoughts.

- Consulting Mindset: Prior consulting experience is a plus. You are fast to adapt, your CV is always up to date, and you thrive in the customer interface.

- Communication: Fluent Finnish and English are absolute requirements. You need to be able to facilitate workshops and build trust in both languages.

- Hybrid Readiness: You understand that trust is built face-to-face. You are willing to work onsite in the Helsinki metropolitan area approx. 2 days a week.

- Fair compensation: The gross salary is always 50.7% of the revenue you generate.

- The Senior Potential: For the high-end Senior profile we are now hiring, we target projects that enable a monthly salary between €8,500 – €9,200/month (based on full-time hours).

- No Glass Ceilings: If the project value increases or you work more, your salary reflects it immediately. No annual reviews needed.
